1/27/06 show report:
We played at Ten Bells with an unusual lineup. We played after an alternative band called The Sleeves, a straight out of the 80s looking glam rock band from Detroit called Filmore Slim, a hard rock act called Some Sin, and Through the Mist the only other extreme metal band on the roster besides us. I missed the first two acts, but caught Some Sin. They had great guitar solos and their lead singer had a powerful set of pipes. We played after Some Sin and tore it up as we always do. Unfortunately our set time got cut by fifteen minutes so we had to trim our songlist by three. Through the Mist played after us and closed the show with their harmonized Scandamerican melodic death metal. Rock on my metal brethren! It was cool not being the first band for a change! There was a good sized crowd rockin out to the 'Thrash and surprisingly we even got complimented by a couple of the Filmore Slim guys! I guess extreme metal and glam have reached a truce and we can appreciate each other's styles now. Thanks guys! I want to give shout outs to Aaron Harraman for putting us on the bill, Mermaid for rockin' out and whirlwind headbangin' y'know givin' us that positive feedback that keeps the fury comin' on that much stronger, my buddy from way back named John Pulaski for taping our show. It looks like he got some awesome footage, but I have yet to see it, Vanessa for the cool pics catching us at our Ultrathrashiest, the fan club for sporting the t-shirts and showing their love, especially Joe and Ashlee for buying the CD, and great kudos to the unsung hero of Ten Bells Eric the soundman for making sure everybody sounded their best! Oh yeah, how could I possibly forget the dynamic duo Tina and Amber (T'n'A), Amber in particular for being so supportive! 'Til Next We Thrash!
