We came in last?!!! We obviously were NOT happy about this! I figured that Through the Mist would be our biggest competition since they're another death metal band (with a more melodic style), but to lose to a stoner band and two nu metal bands was unbearable! I thought we were a lock for second place, but we didn't have our built-in fanbase at our show to cheer us on and cast votes for us. The other bands had that. We didn't. We had a few supporters show up, but not all of them put ballots in the box! Cursed to play first, and coming in last. GRRRRR! Sometimes I think I should move us in a different direction. Maybe I should trade in the leather pants, boots and the gauntlets for a baseball cap, hoodie, and a chain wallet, and abandon the speed and blasts for screamo vocals and excessive breakdowns! Ultrathrash is dead! We'll take on one of those metalcore phrase names like "Yesterday He Died Bleeding to Death From His Eyes"! Just kidding! Seriously, I love what we do and I am WAY too stubborn to hop on a bandwagon for acceptance. Love us, like us, or hate us, Ultrathrash is here to stay and we're going to keep doing it OUR way! Feel the power on December 17th at Ten Bells with Aeternal, Flesh for the Beast, Breaknek and Summon! A night of pure fuckin' metal awaits!
